the benefits of massage
The body is exposed to all sorts of stresses, which are either used by the body or they become destructive, and the body has to get rid of the stressors.
When these stresses become destructive within the spinal column they can interfere with the central nervous system and cause a lower level of performance and functioning. Some effects of a lower level of performance are altered moods, ability to think clearly, libido changes, loss of energy, strength, digestion, and recovery. In fact, most if not all things can be affected and you may be experiencing this right now without you aware consciously that it is happening, and your performance may be lowered or lowering on a day-to-day basis.
Using Spinopractic Massage techniques our role is to find, pinpoint and eliminate any weaknesses where the spinal column has been compromised. We achieve this by applying pressure onto those particular muscles. We only help the body achieve what it already is trying to achieve, and a minimal pressure is only applied to the muscle in the same direction that the muscle is working.
We do not manipulate using Spinopractic Massage - we simply have no need too. (The definition of manipulation is to move the joints of the spine beyond a person’s usual physiological range of motion using a high velocity, and low amplitude thrust, and we do not do this).
