We suggest not shaving the day before or day of your float - it could sting. Also don’t drink any caffeine for a few hours before the float as it tends to make you a little jittery when you’re trying to settle into the float session. Something light in your stomach is also a good idea.
Our private float pod is filtered after each float. The combination of the high concentrations of Epsom salt and minuscule amounts of water cleanser make it cleaner than a pool and impossible for microorganisms to live. We test and record the bromine, pH and alkalinity levels in the tank twice daily and adjust as necessary to comply with Environmental Health Regulations..
That’s completely safe, and it happens sometimes. The buoyancy in the water supports you on your back, so flipping over is tremendously difficult to do.

Not at all, the magnesium sulfate actually makes your skin very soft. You do absorb some of the Epsom salt, so it’s advisable to drink plenty of water after your float due to detoxifying.
Our rule of thumb is that you wait no less than 48 hours after your hair treatment before floating. If you’re unsure, your shower water should run clear at home before coming in for a float. The salt content of our water may cause the colour to fade.
